  • подчеркивается длительность действия, которое началось и закончилось в прошлом перед другим действием в прошлом. She had been living in our city for five years before she moved to the countryside. Она жила в нашем городе 5 лет перед тем, как переехать жить в село.

Составляя специальные вопросы в прошедшем совершенном длительном времени, слова располагают в таком порядке: вопросительное слово (Wh-word), вспомогательный глагол had, подлежащее, глагол been и смысловой глагол с окончанием -іng.
Wh-word + had + l/you/he/she/it/we/they + been + Ving?

Например:

  1. Ваши упражнения очень понравились мне. Составлены великолепно. Очень удобно, что даны полные ответы на упражнения. Но не понятно употребление дат. Я прошёл курс английской грамматики где было сказано, что в перфектных временах не может быть указания времени события. Можете ли Вы объяснить использование таких указателей, как: «вчера вечером», сегодня утром» и т.д. в Ваших примерах для перфектных предложений. С благодарностью, Альфред.

    • Спасибо! Во временах группы Perfect continuous как раз указывается длительность действия, а не время события. Приведите конкретные предложения.
